THE ENCYCLOPEDIA OF SAINTS~

Howard Loxton's THE ENCYCLOPEDIA OF SAINTS is one of those nice coffee table books that you can browse through when writing a story dealing with the West--not the Wild West, but European & American history. Think Catholic Church here. Anyway, I've used this book time and time again to gain my bearings when lost in the vast sea of bobbing saints. And there are way too many for those writers not versed in Catholicism to deal with when dog paddling through history! On that note, just shout out names like Apollonia, Barbara, Canute, Joan of Arc, John of the Cross, Margaret of Scotland, etc. from this book to locate saints. You'll certainly find a story to build around or weave into your novel. ~Skhye
